THE BLUE PETER HOTEL TERMS AND CONDITIONS and CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Payments
- No reservation is secure or confirmed until a deposit is received to secure the booking
- Rates are quoted in ZAR and payment is accepted in this currency
- Payment can be made via credit card or electronic transfer into our bank accoun We are unable to accept traveller’s cheques – travel cards are accepted
- We only accept Mastercard and Visa cards on our online portal
- Any refunds due will only be made in ZAR into the same credit card / bank account
- Any costs incurred as a result of chargebacks will be the responsibility of the card / bank account holder.
- Card transactions will be acquired for Blue Peter Hotel via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are our approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
- All guests shall settle their extra’s accounts in full prior to departure from the hotel via cash or credit card.
- Confirmations and Cancellations
- The Blue Peter Hotel reserves the right to automatically release accommodation being held unless a deposit is received within the stated period
- All reservations – provisional or confirmed – are subject to The Blue Peter Hotel standard terms and conditions and cancellation policy.
- Cancellation fees will apply should a confirmed reservation be cancelled within the following period:
– 50% of the quoted total reservation if cancelled more than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival
– 100% of the quoted total reservation if cancelled 30 days or less prior to the scheduled arrival
– 100% of the quoted total reservation if cancelled after checking in and requesting an earlier departure than the confirmed dates for which payment was made
- Should cancelled accommodation be resold, cancellation fees will be refunded less a 10% handling charge otherwise the details above strictly apply.
Customer Privacy policy
Blue Peter Hotel shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
