Location absolutely perfect.  Breakfast outstanding, various options which are refreshing.  Lovely ladies serving breakfast, warm, chatty providing a homely atmosphere.  Would highly recommend the omelettes they make.  The staff, from Reception to the Restaurant and bar and the cleaning staff, very attentive and nothing was too much for them.  Service quick, clean fresh towels daily or on request.  Room cleanliness outstanding.  Hotel very well located for the beach and local amenities.  Not a single thing we did not like.  The Blue Peter Hotel will most definitely see us again in the future.  Great place to stay.  We felt safe and beautifully looked after!

I was genuinely blown away by this place.  The location is fantastic, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely outstanding.  I had the hake and calamari.  The hake was cooked to absolute perfection, with a beautiful light, crispy batter, and the calamari was exceptionally soft and tender.  Even the chips were done perfectly, which really rounded off the whole meal.
I had a friend visiting from the UK and, to be honest, I initially wondered if it might be a bit of a tourist trap.  It was a recommendation and my first visit, but I am so glad we went.  It is definitely not a tourist trap and worth every cent.  We left extremely happy and will absolutely be back.  Highly recommended.

Room was cleaned regularly with fresh towels at request. Had a beautiful sea view from our room.  I would say the decor is slightly dated, but it did not make any impact on our stay, just an observation.  Staff were very attentive, service was quick and food quality in the bar and restaurant were excellent. Bar area and outside tables very busy Friday nights and weekends and that adds to it as there is a nice friendly atmosphere with families and lots of people coming to eat and drink.  Nice beach literally a few meters from the hotel.  It’s a perfect place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, not loads else nearby, but 10 min down the road there is another area with pubs and restaurants, can walk it takes about 25 mins or an uber is a couple of pounds.  Really is a lovely area.

Loved our stay.  Staff were all friendly and most helpful.  Perfect location.  There is a Restaurant downstairs and food in The Lighthouse is good and a perfect spot to sit, chill and unwind.  The views from our room were amazing.  Will definitely return.  Close proximity to Eden on the Bay and shopping centres like the Table Bay Mall.

Relaxed, country hotel feeling, safe for beach walk, close to other Restaurants if needed
Our stay at the Blue Peter Hotel was absolutely amazing.  We stayed in one of their beachfront rooms, just a few steps from the sand, and we could hear the ocean at all times.  The view was simply magnificent, overlooking Table Mountain, Robben Island and the entire coastline.

The Hotel itself has a lovely country-charm – it really feels like a home away from home.  One hightlight was the bar area, which was fantastic for sitting sheltered from the wind, but still enjoying the stunning view.  On clear days, we relaxed outside under the umbrellas and enjoyed their excellent menu.

In the evenings, we dined in the more formal restaurant, again with that full view of Table Mountain and Robben Island.  Plus their was ample and safe parking which was a big plus.  Overall it’s a 10 out of10 spot if you want to be a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of town and enjoy some true country-style hospitality by the ocean.

We had a very good lunch last week.  The service was good…we sat inside so not too windy.  The Kabelou was excellent.  It was a favourite restaurant of ours in the early 70s, then we introduced our daughter to it in 2008 when she lived in Capetown.  Apart from the food one has the views of the iconic Table Mountain.  Well worth a visit.

We visited the Blue Peter Restaurant a number of times for breakfasts, lunches and sundowners. Their pizzas are amazing! A perfect setting to watch the sun go down. It gets extremely busy as it is a “must visit” spot, so be prepared to wait and enjoy the views. It’s well worth it.
